We service all models of BERNINA and bernette machines.

What comes with a Cleaning,Oil, Adjustment?

Functional Internal Checks:

• Test sew machine, take and assessment, and identify additional issues
• Inventory all parts and accessories that came with the machine confirm any issues reported by the consumer
• Check external appearance
• Check operation (sewing light external controls and buttons, illumination of screen, manual thread cutters, condition of presser feet, condition of needle plate, freehand system, lower and raise the feed dog, presser foot lifter lever function, needle threader, bobbin winder)
• Inspect foot control and power cord
• Update firmware if needed
• Check BERNINA Stitch Regulator (BSR) (if applicable), update if needed
• Remove covers (check for broken out screw holes) and blow out machine

Internal Checks:

• Remove and inspect bobbin case and bobbin
• Inspect shuttle race cover
• Inspect needle plate
• Remove hook and inspect
• Remove hook driver and inspect
• Check feed dog eccentrics for function and lubrication
• Check belt tension
• Service timing belt tension pulley
• Check hand wheel for function and wrapped thread
• Check spool pins for function and clean gummy residue
• Inspect all thread guides for function and wear/grooves
• Inspect top tension for proper release, and remove any debris
• Inspect height and function of check spring
• Inspect take up lever and linkages for debris, wrapped thread, play
• Check and adjust presser foot fixation and presser foot clamp
• Check all cables for pinches and breaks
• Check condition of needle clamp screw
• Clean out needle hole
• Remove manual thread cutter and clean out any debris
• Blow out the machine

Mechanical Adjustments:

• Check needle distribution in needle plate
• Check needle center position
• Check feed dog height
• Check loop lift (hook/needle timing)
• Check back run (Hook/needle position)
• Check needle height
• Check feed timing (lower shaft timing/feed dog synchronization)
• Check hook/needle clearance
• Check spring height and operation
• Calibrate top needle tension and bobbin case tension
• Lubricate machine, including motor bushings

Service Program:

• Check function of or calibrate LCD screen
• Calibrate motor speed
• Calibrate Buttonhole
• Check balance electronic (rough), mechanical (fine)
• Record hours and stitches on service ticket
• Reset service and lubrication stitches (if applicable)

Final Sewing Sample:

Stitch out sample will include straight stitch, open zigzag, satin zigzag, and may include 1-2 decorative stitches of choice, honeycomb, nines, and buttonhole.

Embroidery Module (if applicable, service for extra charge):

• Calibrate large hoop
• Reset belt tensions
• Check gears for debris
• Lubricate
• Sew our test pattern/designs
• Clean Module
